Dentures can be "partial" or "full dentures" and are made in a dental lab, based on a mold (impression) of your teeth and jaws. A partial denture is made up of one or more false teeth and is held in place often using clasps which attach to nearby natural teeth. Partial dentures are removable for cleaning at night. You may require partial dentures if nearby teeth are not strong enough to hold a bridge or if more than a few teeth are missing. A full denture can be used when all of your natural teeth are missing.
