We hope you and your family are all safe and well during this period of trial. Due to the unprecedented circumstances presented by the Covid-19 pandemic, we have temporarily closed our dental clinic at Lawrence Avenue Dental. However, we will be monitoring our office phone messages regularly at 416-444-9045 if you need to reach us.
At this time, our governing body (RCDSO), Public Health and the Government of Canada has instructed that all elective procedures be suspended in order to observe social distancing, in the global effort to mitigate the damage caused by the virus. This suspension includes all routine dental care, including hygiene, restorative, orthodontics, and cosmetic dentistry. We, at Lawrence Avenue Dental, take the mandate seriously and therefore, we will not re-open our doors for general dentistry until it is safe to do. Rest assured, we are still here for you, but please read below:
What does this mean for you?
1.Please note that ALL hygiene and dental appointments that are booked in March and April are cancelled until further notice.
2.For patients with “unfinished work” (crowns, fillings etc), we will contact you to book an appointment as soon as we are allowed. You will be given priority.
3.For ORTHODONTIC patients, we are putting all monthly adjustments on HOLD, that is, just keep wearing what you have been given, keep your teeth clean… there is no harm to let things rest and settle. However, if you experience pain or discomfort from a broken wire etc, then please Facetime directly with Dr. Lily Lo for a virtual consultation first. Her l-Phone number is: 647-822-5459. lf there is something urgent, she will book an appointment to see you at the 16th Avenue Dental clinic in Richmond Hill on an emergency basis. Please be prepared to observe the Covid-19 screening protocols and to have your temperature taken upon arrival. We cannot see anyone who is feeling unwell or experiencing fever or respiratory symptoms, however, we will refer you to a specialized clinic if this is the case.
4. In the case of a TRUE dental emergency (pain, swelling, fractured teeth, trauma, etc), please call 16th Avenue Dental at 905-883-8893. We will determine how to best help you get the care you need in the safest manner possible.
We are all praying that our individual efforts to stay socially and physically distant in the coming months will aid the global effort to fight this Covid-19 virus. We ask for your patience and cooperation in joining the endeavour to “flatten the curve” to support our stressed health care system.
As your dental care providers, we are still here for you. We hope to see you soon for routine care, but in the meantime, please take care of yourself, your family; be kind to one another, comply with government requests to self-isolate, so that we can preserve our way of life in the future. We will update you as necessary going forward.
With respect and love,
Dr. Lily Lo, Dr. Adriana Cesnik, Dr. Sook Yee Chan, Dr. Vi Pham
And the entire staff at Lawrence Avenue Dental.
